Offices, locker rooms, truck maintenance, salt barn & more.

Approach

Having undergone a considerable amount of growth in recent years, the City of Westerville, a northeastern suburb of Columbus, outgrew its public service facilities. In 2010, they hired MA Design to do a study on their current facilities that included the programming and cost estimation to upgrade and expand their buildings. From that, they again selected MA to design a new service facility and salt barn to replace their current facilities upon being demolished.

The new facility includes administrative offices, locker rooms for all staff, a conference/training room and storage area as well as a 23,500 sf vehicle and equipment garage and a 2,000 sf, two story wash bay. The facilities were designed with sensitivity to the private residential area nearby.
