Approach
To grow and invigorate its youth program Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church expanded its operations with a 28,218 sq. ft. addition that included a new entry lobby, three classrooms, gymnasium with a stage for performances, locker rooms, youth center/lounge, a large multi-purpose room, and a commercial kitchen.
The space is ideal for large church gatherings or as leasable space to outside groups. The purpose of this addition was also to provide a means of Christian outreach to the greater community.
The addition was designed for maximum flexibility, as the multipurpose room can separate into three smaller rooms or collapse room dividers to be one large multipurpose space. The multipurpose room can also open to the gymnasium and stage area to allow for a 12,000 sq. ft. open area. This project was completed in a design-build method with Dublin Building Systems.
