Approach
The City of Westerville’s Electric Division (WED) administrative office building previously suffered from layout inefficiencies that hindered operations and limited collaboration. The spacious lobby was underutilized, and the need for additional meeting and office space had become increasingly clear.
MA Design was engaged to assess the existing conditions and develop a renovation plan that aligned more closely with the division’s workflow and functional needs. After analyzing how the team operated and used the space, the design strategy focused on transforming portions of the oversized lobby into new offices and meeting rooms. The large SCADA/Tech room was also reconfigured to create additional office space.
In collaboration with WED and project partner TENFOLD, MA Design developed an enhanced entry sequence that elevates the client experience. The final design incorporated experiential graphics to create a welcoming, visually dynamic lobby while supporting the operational goals of the Electric Division through better space utilization.
