Intertwining company culture.

Approach

As a family-owned Logistics Company with 40 years of success, ODW Logistics found itself bursting at the seams in its existing facility south of Columbus. They sought to find a new corporate headquarters that would bring their business groups together to foster high-level collaborative thinking and exude their brand to attract the best new talent in the region.

This effort landed them at the newly renovated historic Buggyworks building in the Arena District of downtown Columbus. The authentic character of the building’s heavy timber framing, exposed brick walls and abundance of natural light along with the building’s own logistics-based history enabled ODW to tell their powerful story.

The 17,300 SF office allows for growth up to 95 employees including 7 executive offices, 16 private offices, a large open café, training room, board room and small collaborative meeting spaces. The space is accented with rich, textured finishes in subtle hues that complement the existing building- the highlight of which are weathered barn wood accent walls.

Time and budget constraints were the biggest obstacles for this project; however, the building owner (Nationwide Realty Investors) worked closely with ODW, Turner Construction and MA Design to complete drawings and construction to successfully meet the schedule and budget.
