Approach
Advanced Drainage Systems™ (ADS), a leader in stormwater management and one of North America’s largest plastic recycling companies, is relocating its corporate headquarters to the TruePointe mixed-use development in Hilliard, Ohio. Occupying over 76,000 square feet across three stories, ADS will be the anchor tenant of the development when it opens in 2025. This move consolidates their corporate employees from two separate locations into a single, state-of-the-art facility designed to foster collaboration. The TruePointe development’s vibrant mix of office spaces, residential areas, retail, and recreational amenities perfectly aligns with ADS’s goals of creating an innovative, socially connected workplace environment.
Working with the ADS team and Equity, the developer for the site, MA Design crafted the core and shell of the building with ADS’ vision and sustainability goals at the forefront. Designed to achieve LEED v4 certification, the architecture integrates features such as shading fins on the west façade and a high-performance glazing system to optimize daylight and energy efficiency. A rainwater capture and treatment system, paired with sustainable infrastructure like EV charging stations and bike amenities, emphasizes ADS’s role as both an environmental steward and an industry innovator. The building’s design aligns seamlessly with ADS’s forward-thinking values, delivering both innovation and sustainability in every aspect of the project.
