Classic design tailored to fit a forward thinking firm.

Approach

Dickinson Wright is a growing, full-service law firm of diverse and dedicated legal professionals. Relocating to the penthouse suite of a 34 floor building in the financial district downtown allows them to accommodate a space that reflects their progressive business practices and reputation in the marketplace. The new space features primarily private offices, spacious admin stations, an open flex office space to promote collaboration between attorneys, an executive board room with the best views of the city, ample private meeting rooms and “zoom rooms”, an executive conference room with casual seating, luxurious finishes and a wet bar and a café with features such as specialty coffee maker and a large island for hosting team lunches, an employee break room with a TV for employees to take a much needed break, respite room to support the mental health and well being of staff.

The classic design is tailored with sophisticated design elements and upscale finishes and thoughtfully captured by strategically framed views created by the layout of the space.  The new concierge style reception design is sleek and luxurious, accented with a wood slat ceiling, textured feature wall and arched entryways to frame views of the executive boardroom and background spaces.

Special design consideration was given to the central staircase. Open to the floor above, built-in shelves are integrated into the bold black metal finish and cable rails of the staircase to create an elegant bar space perfect for hosting events. The client chose to invest in this open stair case to further support their DEI efforts and ensure their staff felt a sense of inclusion and connection to the resources within the firm, regardless of where their office was located in the space.

Strong bold finishes are carried throughout and softened with arching lines, warm matte tones and blonde tambour wood finishes. Each space is elevated with touches of crystal, metallics, and quartz that exude confidence, poise, and refinement.
