Complying to ever-tightening regulations.
Approach
Responding to ever-tightening regulatory requirements, OhioHealth engaged our team to evaluate all eight of their compounding pharmacies in their health system for compliance with USP 797 and proposed USP 800 standards, including evaluating space needs, construction and finish details, and mechanical and electrical components.
Based upon those evaluations, we were further engaged to:
- coordinate with ProPharma to integrate stand-alone clean rooms within each compounding pharmacy
- serve those spaces and related fume hoods with new rooftop HVAC equipment capable of supporting rigorous temperature and humidity control conditions
- renovate the balance of each pharmacy space, as necessary, to support overall operations
