In order to expand their services and offer new, more convenient treatment options, Memorial Health centralized cancer care into this brand new, state-of-the-art facility. Designed to allow for greater collaboration and communication between multidisciplinary specialists, the center offers a variety of prevention, diagnosis and treatment services.
The new facility includes both open and private infusion areas, medical oncology physician offices and a USP 797/800-compliant compounding pharmacy. Patients also have access to the most advanced treatment technology available, including a CyberKnife, a noninvasive robotic system that delivers precise radiation treatment and eliminates potential damage to healthy tissue, as well as Tomotherapy and Linear Accelerator treatment.
MA Design worked in collaboration with Brad Payne Architects, the Project Architect, to provide interior design, furniture selection, medical equipment planning, artwork selection, and environmental graphic design for the entire facility. Additionally, on the second floor MA provided architectural drawings and space planning. MA thoughtfully selected finishes, materials, artwork and decor that were familiar to the region and capture the local charm. The result is a new space that evokes the feeling of organic hospitality without sacrificing functionality.
