Approach
With Mount Carmel building a greenfield hospital in Grove City to replace an outdated central city hospital in Columbus, a full complement of outpatient services also needed to be accommodated within this new state of the art healthcare campus. As surgical services are increasingly provided on an ambulatory basis, a robust outpatient surgery center was included in the medical office building attached to the hospital.
Incorporating state of the art surgical environments, perioperative support spaces and comprehensive specialty clinics, this ASC supports surgical services across general, pulmonary, ob/gyn and uro/gyn specialties.
With four ORs, 14 pre/post bays and several specialty clinics, this comprehensive surgery center cares for patients from pre-admission testing through recovery and healing.
