Approach

MA Design teamed with Blue Cottage Consulting, and an array of engineering team partners, to analyze both Adena Regional Medical Center’s patient demographics and related projected future regional health service needs, along with their physical facilities and related opportunities, current pain points, and future expansion and renovation needs and strategies. Planning involved numerous user-group meetings, statistical analysis of patient data, in-depth study of existing functional planning constraints, facility condition evaluations, development of strategic options, and finally refinement of a development plan, including phasing strategy and branding suggestions, for both inpatient and outpatient facilities on and off-campus.
