Approach
This new student housing project is located on three different sites adjacent to Florida State University’s main campus. The redevelopment of the sites includes over 700 beds, two state of the art amenity areas and highly technological residential units. These student housing complexes – The Axis, The Block and The Deck – are part of a mixed-use project that incorporates elaborate infrastructure, city partnership, retail, restaurant, and parking uses all in a single coordinated deliverable.
MA Design managed eight different consultants and coordinated every aspect of the properties’ construction documents. We utilized BIM technology to deliver heightened service to coordinate this complicated transfer slab structure with multiple residential penetrations to ensure construction ran smoothly.
