Looking to create an exclusive destination, Hilliard-based developer Equity is bringing a new mixed-use development to the City of Hilliard. A prominent site, the development will be located along I-270 with good exposure, an existing pond and an established tree line. Well-designed exterior spaces and modern architecture invites residents, workers and visitors to enjoy the site.
Partnering with Equity and residential developer Milhaus, MA Design is designing this urban micro infill site with buildings that have a contemporary aesthetic. The main retail buildings act as focal points upon entering into the boulevard that further opens into the urban walkable site. The streetscape includes a dense tree canopy with 20-feet wide sidewalks that provide versatile areas for patios and outdoor entertainment.
Plans include 350 residential units spread out between two buildings with various types of units, including three-story walk-ups. The goal is to provide market-rate apartments with flexible price points to attract a larger segment of the population. In addition, amenities include volleyball courts, a pool, private courtyards, and the incorporation of a dog park into the two-mile wooded walking trail that meanders through the site and will connect with nearby trails. Additionally, the site plan includes a 108-room hotel.
