Distinctive development designed to uplift and pay homage to this historic neighborhood.

Approach

This mixed-use development will replace several long-vacant properties with a five-story Tudor-inspired building that thoughtfully integrates into the historic neighborhood. The development will introduce approximately 82 new residential units to the area, with a mix of walk-ups and apartments. Designed to reflect the charm of older buildings while offering modern conveniences, the exterior features a combination of brick, stone, and fiber cement with asphalt shingles. The structure adapts to the site’s natural slope, with covered parking for residents and additional surface parking behind the building.

At street level, the project includes 13,000 SF of commercial space, split between restaurant and retail areas, each with distinct entrances on opposite corners. Amenities include a rooftop deck, coworking spaces, and fitness center, plus a dog run, bicycle maintenance station, and electric vehicle charging stations. The design balances the neighborhood’s historic aesthetic with contemporary touches, providing a seamless transition between the residential, retail, and restaurant components.
