Office and warehouse expansion for a distributor of more than 30,000 products including tools and shop supplies, pipe-fittings, paints and chemicals, fasteners, electrical items, and auto fleet and body shop objects. In recent years they had outgrown their warehouse and office located on the west side of Columbus.
This design-build project enlarged their facilities with a new two-story office space and one-story warehouse area connected to the existing warehouse. The office area now connects the previously separated office and warehouse buildings so that the facility is all one with a new two-story high entrance. The 25 foot height in the warehouse allows for clearstory windows to filter light into the space. A large employee cafe with areas not only to eat lunch but to hold meetings as well is a staff favorite.
