Approach
Joseph House is an organization committed to serving homeless military veterans and their families affected by addiction, traumatic brain injuries and PTSD through treatment and recovery programs designed to promote healthy, sustainable lifestyles and reintegration into the community. Joseph House is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and offers inpatient and outpatient programs.
Model Group worked with Joseph House to relocate the organization to the Camp Washington area of Cincinnati with a new three-story, 46-unit facility. Joseph House’s previous inpatient residential facilities were only able to accommodate male veterans; however, the new building includes a dedicated residential wing to offer long-term services to females as well. In addition, the new facilities are fully accessible to allow Joseph House to provide services to physically disabled veterans for the first time.
MA Design provided interior design and experiential design services for the project. Our scope included selecting interior finishes, furniture and lighting for the office space, common areas, and units. Additionally, we helped with signage and artwork, as well as designing and implementing experiential design pieces for donors and showcasing Joseph House’s history. We are proud to be a part of bringing a project to life that will help so many people in the Greater Cincinnati area.
