Approach
Located on 28 acres along the Ohio River, Madonna Manor is a well-established Continuing Care Retirement Community offering the full spectrum of senior living care from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing, memory care and rehabilitation services.
The first phase of a multi-phase expansion project added 24 new independent living units to the community. Designed for comfort and accessibility, the new apartments cater to seniors who are looking for a maintenance-free living option that allows them to enjoy the pleasures of retirement. The new units include the option of spacious one and two bedroom apartments with a patio on the first floor or a balcony on the second floor. A central open community room hosts a variety of meaningful activities for residents and visitors. A below grade enclosed parking garage emphasizes independence and allows occupants easy access to their cars.
A second phase adds two additional 24 independent living unit buildings to the community. While the additional buildings are meant to integrate aesthetically with the first phase, the new phase is more focused on community activities, especially centered around dining. The community room kitchen area has been redesigned to serve catered dinner to residents and features a covered porch situated behind the community room for outdoor dining and recreation. A paved walking path connects all three buildings and provides excellent views of the river from its landscaped gathering points.
