Vibrant streetscape and pedestrian experience.

Approach

This premiere example of town center development was given the “Innovative Design and Construction of a New Project” Award by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in 1999 when it first opened. One of the first open air lifestyle centers of it’s kind, Easton continues to be an exemplar of successful mixed-use developments.

Designed as an urban village, Easton incorporates retail, restaurant, offices, entertainment and parking structures. The buildings were design with emphasis on the streetscape and pedestrian experience. Classic building materials such as red brick, white painted trim, cast iron lamp posts and wall-murals common in the 1940’s reinforce the urban experience and create a natural animation that is necessary for this type of project.

For more than 22 years, we have worked with developers/operator Steiner + Associates and The Georgetown Company to continue to provide services that assist them in keeping the development fresh and adding to it’s plethora of stores and amenity spaces. In 2021, Easton was again named #1 Retail Center Experience in America by Chain Store Age magazine, first receiving the accolade in 2019.
