Approach
This new 360,200 square foot mixed-use infill redevelopment is located in the heart of the specialty retail and restaurant district in Upper Arlington, Ohio, a community that is part of the Columbus metropolitan area very near to the campus of the Ohio State University. The developers have geared the components of the project towards the area’s residents, businesses, and OSU faculty, students and visitors.
Covering 3.5 acres, the project includes 13,000 SF of ground floor retail shops and restaurants, 13,000 SF of office space, 108 luxury apartments, and 109 key Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel and a 300 space parking structure.
Using our experience with mixed use projects, MA designed a podium type building with the retail on the first floor, office space on the second and residential units on floors three through five. Parking is also incorporated into the building. MA Design did the interior design of the common spaces within the building as well as the layout of the apartment units.
