The new Promenade Trails community will be seamlessly integrated into an evolving intergenerational framework, which includes the neighboring multi-family residential development. The master plan for this development took shape around the natural geography of the site—which includes existing ponds and a protected wetland. Community connection to existing road and trail systems provides residents with an easy walk to retail, medical and related services surrounding the campus. Within the community the residents will share a central shared greenspace, Promenade Commons, and outdoor amenity spaces including an outdoor pool, courtyard, dog park, and lawn sports.
M+A worked carefully within the local design standards to enhance the typical exterior facade of the residences to blend with the nearby design aesthetic. Benefitting from reduced setbacks and scaled to create a walkable, activated community, the 59 new single-story two bedroom cottages offer rear facing attached garages and an all-inclusive campus feel. Anchoring the community is a 150-unit one- and two-bedroom active-adult apartment building that features a host of amenities including a pub, clubhouse, multi-purpose studio, fitness, pet grooming station, and various lounges placed strategically to create social intersections between residents. The bohemian interior design was inspired by the eclectic and diverse background of residents. Warm tones, neutral backgrounds, purposeful color, varying textures, and curved forms will be layered within each space. Like a home, the design will create environments that encourage gathering, comfort, and sharing.
