Approach
New residential development in the northern suburb of Springdale in Cincinnati. Goal of the project is to design and construct a contemporary community with affordable leasing rates and superior amenities. In the middle of the Dayton-Cincinnati metroplex, this project sits in a growing suburb with good highway connections to lots of jobs. Simple architectural forms keep costs lower. This cluster of three-story buildings forms a community, with a clubhouse and pool at its heart. Pitched roofs and warm materials of brick and lapped siding give the architecture a familiarity, while clean, contemporary detailing and pitched ceilings at top floor balconies keep the appearance fresh and simple.
The 216 units are a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedrooms. The dwelling units have spacious floor plans that are filled with natural light and always provide a connection to a personal outdoor space for the residents. The clubhouse includes a fitness area, makerspace, co-working spaces and a bike shop. Additional onsite planned outdoor space includes gathering areas with grilling stations and a dog park.
