MA worked with Goodwill Columbus and Berengaria Development to develop new retail flagship stores and drop-off centers in Central Ohio. Our focus is to provide positive and healthy customer and employee experience by providing ample natural light in all areas, well ventilated work areas, changing rooms, and a branded retail experience. Goodwill wants to showcase the good work that they do – “transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities and other barriers through pathways to independence and the power of work” through the stores’ environment. The new prototype incorporates a covered drop off area to facilitate the donation process and to provide a positive experience for those donating. Some of the facilities will incorporate training rooms as well. Being environmentally responsible is also important, so all lighting in the project is LED and the HVAC system is energy efficient.
