Purpose driven living at any age.

Approach

The Trinity Community at Beavercreek by United Church Homes is a vibrant and inclusive faith-based senior life plan campus in the tranquil suburbs of Dayton, Ohio. To fulfill growing demand for active adult lifestyle options, MA Design worked with the United Church Homes’ team to plan a customer-inspired design for a new community that will create 121 one- and two-bedroom independent living units. When the new building is complete, it will also serve as The Trinity Community hub, connecting all campus residents to a central amenity and activity space that truly captures the United Church Homes mission of providing a joyful and purpose driven living environment.

The community space flips the script on the traditional independent living model, activating the entrance with an inviting high-end Dining Room and full service bar overlooking the front event lawn and water feature. Outdoor spaces are designed to connect with existing walking paths and create new attractions that further promote community. Outdoor dining options, a dog park, and an event lawn designed to host food trucks, performers, exercise classes, and farmers market provide areas for activities that are welcoming and hospitable for the entire community.

Inside, the grand lobby and bistro are basked in natural light with open floor to ceiling living wall partitions that are filled with organic textures and colors. Dedicated studio spaces promote opportunities for personal development, whether it’s learning a new skill in the digital media center or Inspiration Studio, or taking part in one of the many health and wellness concierge services. The spacious residential units are arranged to maximize the amount of windows and allow every resident access to private outdoor space and be surrounded with opportunities for self-improvement and belonging.
