MA Design’s Revamped Sustainability Action Plan
As Earth Month comes to a close, we are excited to launch MA Design’s updated Sustainability Action Plan!
First, you might be wondering what a Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) is? The SAP is a guiding document that outlines how we, at MA Design, will achieve our sustainability goals over time. Rooted in our commitment to creating a better future for generations to come, this plan serves as our roadmap for accountability.
Since the release of our original SAP in 2019, much has evolved within our organization. We’ve undergone a rebranding and after revisiting the SAP, we realized that it was no longer a reflection of our current values. We took this as an opportunity to review and restructure the SAP, adjust our goals, and set ourselves up for success.
Check out our new Sustainability Action Plan HERE.
Over the last year, our dedicated Sustainability Team has diligently revamped the document. This involved internal surveys, multiple engagement sessions and follow ups, and several rounds of editing. We are excited to publish this plan for all to see, and begin working towards our new sustainability goals! Not only does the action plan give us steps and strategies to consider and implement, but it also sets up a regular check-in cadence. This allows our firm to make adjustments to the plan as times change and we grow over the next few decades.
The new and improved SAP creates four new internally- and externally-focused goals that will help us on our mission of creating a healthier and more sustainable world for all! Internally, we are focusing on having the MA Design offices be designed for occupant health and wellness as well as carbon neutral by 2035. Externally, we’re focusing on our projects, prioritizing that all of them are designed for occupant health and well-being by 2040, alongside achieving carbon neutrality across all projects.
As we embark on this renewed commitment to sustainability, we invite you to join us on this journey. Together, let’s build a future where sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a way of life.
