Approach

The MA Design team mobilized to provide resilient, value-added design solutions to get this renovated space online as quickly and efficiently as possible. Through a thoughtful design process with manufactured walls in mind from the beginning, MA was able to optimize the design by clustering the manufactured wall systems into efficient zones that would most efficiently support the assembly process. All rated and traditional walls were grouped away from the zones with the manufactured walls, effectively separating the different construction techniques to allow the manufactured walls to be built without interruption. As part of the design we also integrated a new concept of self-registration stations with roaming ambassadors.

The design team worked closely with the wall system manufacturer and Construction Manager to balance cost, speed to market, and ability to continuously maintain high quality patient care for the duration of the project.
