Approach
Easton Place Homes is a family centric, three-phase, affordable housing development at Easton Town Center. A total of eight buildings will form an urban village with a combination of large and small outdoor spaces all programmed for different age groups. The development will provide 200 low-income housing units near the thousands of retail and office jobs at Easton. An architectural balance of variety and consistency is important for cohesiveness with the surrounding community. The anchor buildings at the southern end of the site have an industrial warehouse character, while the architecture facing the existing market rate housing at Easton Commons are complimentary red brick townhomes.
The first phase includes 50 units of one-, two- and three bedroom apartments in a combination of flats and townhomes. A mixture of the 9% and 4% low income housing tax credit funding is a part of the financing for the project.
