Expanding access to oncology care.

Approach

This phased renovation in an occupied medical specialty center was done to support the creation of the Grant Cancer Services Center. It involved moving various hospital services to other locations around the hospital campus to create one unified building for Cancer Services.

This included a new 797/800 Pharmacy as well as infusion bays, scanning areas, treatment rooms, exam rooms as well as patient resource spaces.

Creating a hub for all oncology care to more patients, the design incorporated integration of all cancer care departments into one building – hematology, oncology, radiation oncology, Breast Health, screening, Infusion bays, Treatment Rooms, Exam Rooms, Patient Resource / Learning Center, etc. Helping to expand access to care to more patients, a comfortable facility for patients and families was created.
